starting it right

Oh my...
my thesis process is now really starting...
am a bit nervous...

Might as well be like 'the small engine that could'...

Yes...I think I can...I think I can...I think I can...

(pray for me will you ;), thanks...)

[update]

silly me, the final prospectus that i thought needed only to be 1 page should in fact be around 8-10 pages. turns out the one-pager thing is supposed to be its brief summary.
darn....

well, atleast i found that out in time (i hope :P)

on days like this...

yes, i’m scared
since I know I’ll never be certain
of what lies ahead of me
that no one can ensure me
not even those that read palmistry

I’ve asked those that have gone beyond me
yet they say
no, it’s not going to always be easy
that you’ll figure out eventually how deep it will be
so all you can do
is pull out your feet
spread out those wings
start that step
and hope you don’t ever need
to look back in agony.

as daylight passes

neng, katanya mau baca...

neng, katanya mau pergi,
iya, tunggu bentar kali ya...
neng, kok disini? katanya mau bikin itu?
iya nih, gak tau juga...
neng...neng...
loh...neng...???
...
...
...
and the day passes just like that...

yup, procrastinating is definitely not a good thing...

how I am, as it is

current state:
..hands smelling like rendang paste, just had lunch, rather late indeed
..hair a bit messy, the length reminding me of childhood, nice memories
..shirt worn is quite torn ;) but very very comfortable
..looking at flowers sent by someone lovely
..teeth need to be checked in 2 months time, just those general checkups
..room much tidier than it has been these past few days
..money just the amount that I need it to be
..to do list finally at a length presumed reasonable
..music played are just the tunes I’d like to hear
..heart dancing slowly to it’s rhythm
..mind much more peaceful than before

yes, it’s a beautiful Sunday indeed ;)

not just getting by

I’ve been learning to live by other people’s ways lately.
Been trying to take deep breaths while walking – trying hard not to run unless necessary.
All in the mood of trying to improve myself.

Yeah, I’ve tried that many times before.

Yet it’s not my birthday; plus, new year’s past; and no…nothing horrible had happened to me lately. Thank God.

I guess I’m just in one of those ‘having-more-time-than-i-usually-do’ moments; and I think it’s a good time to lay low and breathe...

- just now, cleaned the kitchen like my mother does. full power...squeaky clean, and all.
- been warming food in the microwave like my flatmate does.
- last night, filed my bills and documents, like my sister-in-law does. was so astonished that she actually does it that way
- friday afternoon, went ‘bookmark shopping’, to mark the pages in this ‘prayer book’ my mom gave me, doing it just like she does.
- friday morning, made some itineraries for upcoming events, just like Aiida does.
- a few days a go, filed my lecture notes like a classmate from school. No wonder he got such great marks last semester
- been trying to finish reading books like the so many people I know do: jessica, aiida, and my lovely abang.
- filed my files in the computer like...? I think I figured that one on my own :)

and that's just a few :)
well, hopefully it won’t just be a phase.

Okay now, got to go...
My books are calling me ;)
Ciao!

just an ordinary day

as I heard his tale...

[morning broke]
he was lost
still tangled in time
can’t tell past from present
though the clock was near
as those past memories lingers him still

[the sun comes out]
the day is clear
as he fights his might
and all he can hear is the sound of mist blowing in mid air

[then night appreared]
life brings you reasons
then it keeps your stories
those you like
and those you thought had vanished in daylight

one big deep breath

Just completed 2 big projects.
Well, ‘big’ as in the amount of time and effort these tasks have managed to drain out of me.
Okay, I’ll spare the details and just want to say how good finishing it all has made me feel.
Am now concentrating on that plan I had, starting this new semester:
- read the books
- finish your assignments timely
- read the books
- do some sports
- read the books
- don’t try to lose this list and copy-paste it next semester, hmmm....

I think I now want to add one more thing there:
- no more projects this semester ;)

cheers!

in life’s journeys, there will be such days

Sometimes some things happen for a reason.
And most times, everything happens for a reason.

I’ve come to a point in life where I am definitely certain of such remarks.
And I shall live life with the understanding that all courses has its cause, and not once shall I question the weight of such meticulous annoying indifferent matters.

As it is only when the rainbow comes that you appreciate the storm...
